Deo Hogiono

Deo is the Co-Director and Creative Producer of STEP Studio, and mentor to many dancers on the team. He is the key force behind the growth of the company with over 15 years of experience in the dance and entertainment industry.

Working alongside Step, Deo plays an integral role in shaping the direction of the studio, mentoring dancers and instructors, and building the people and culture behind the STEP FAM. With a strong focus on leadership, development and community, he has helped nurture generations of dancers while supporting them in finding their own confidence and identity through movement.

Beyond mentorship, Deo also brings extensive experience in commercial choreography and creative production. From developing concepts and visual direction to coordinating production, media and logistics, he is often the person working behind the scenes to turn ambitious ideas into tangible experiences.

As a co-director, he has supported the STEP FAM and STEP Youth Crew in representing Singapore on international stages, with achievements including 1st Place at FINALS Germany 2023, 2nd Place at World of Dance Indonesia 2019 and subsequent qualification for the World of Dance Finals in the USA, as well as multiple international finals and distinctions.

A steady presence behind STEP’s creative and operational journey, Deo believes that great work is built through trust, teamwork and the courage to keep moving forward. Whether mentoring a young dancer, shaping a production or bringing a new creative vision to life, he remains committed to building people, creating opportunities and helping every STEP project become more than just a performance — but an experience that connects, inspires and stays with its audience.
