Yeo Jia Yan

Our resident Street Jazz babe, affectionately known as Yannie, Jia Yan has been part of the STEP FAM for almost 5 years. A versatile performer and dancer, she regularly takes on commercial gigs with STEP, while also performing alongside her Chinese Dance instructor, Jiang 老师, for events such as Dancing in Unity 2023.

With a natural warmth and encouraging energy, Jiayan specialises in teaching Street Jazz to beginners, helping new dancers find confidence, groove and joy in movement. Since choreographing for the STEP Supper Club’s 2025 recital finale item, she has continued to teach Street Jazz open classes and cover course lessons at the studio — quickly becoming a favourite among our beginner dancers.

As a member of the STEP FAM, Jia Yan has also represented Singapore on the international dance stage, earning finalist placements and accolades alongside the team. She loves how dance gives her a space to express herself freely, while constantly reminding her that she is capable of more than she ever imagined.
