Stephanie Loh

Affectionately known as Step — this is our founder and artistic director of STEP Studio, and award winning choreographer known across the global dance scene.

With over 30 years of dance experience and 20 years into her career, Step has conceptualized and directed countless dance productions and award-winning pieces, trained and taught many artistes and young dancers, and brought her team to represent the country in overseas dance competitions.

Under her mentorship, the STEP FAM and STEP Youth Crew have represented Singapore on international stages, with highlights including 1st Place at FINALS Germany 2023, 2nd Place at World of Dance Indonesia 2019 and subsequent qualification for the World of Dance Finals in the USA, as well as Finalist at BodyRock Asia Philippines 2020. Her choreography has also earned multiple distinctions at Get The Beat Singapore 2022, including Overall Champion, Highest Scoring Act, Studio Excellence and Best Choreography, alongside a nomination for Choreographer of the Year at the Australian World Finals. She is the only choreographer from Singapore to have had these achievements.

In the commercial world, she was the chief choreographer for Jack Neo’s Blockbuster film “The Lion Men”, and resident choreographer for local artiste, Cheryl Wee’s, album launch and regional tour. Step was also the choreographer for Chapter 1 of the National Day Parade 2022 show segment.

As someone who always wears her heart on her sleeve and believes in the message behind every dance piece, Step will always find a way to use her gift of dance to create magic, move hearts, and inspire courage. She is essential to our community, and an asset to any event or show.
