What Is WOD?
World of Dance (WOD) is the world's largest dance entertainment enterprise based in California. Started in 2008, it encompasses more platforms than any other dance content provider, hosting competitions in more than 35 countries. This is an incredibly renowned dance platform — endorsed by famous celebrity names such as Jennifer Lopez, alongside professional international industry teams like the Les Twins and Desi Hoppers.
Our very own STEP Youth Crew has been seeded to the 2019 WOD Championships held in Los Angeles, after clinching 2nd Place with a score of 90.1 in the WOD Indonesia Regionals.
OUR GOAL
We still need to raise another $28,600 to meet our total expenses for this trip. This consist of the cost of our flight which makes up the main bulk of our trip's expenses.
With 2 months to go, we hope to raise as much as we can!
The money we raise and whatever excess we might receive will go to our efforts in growing our youth. Other than miscellaneous cost for WOD preparations (eg: rehearsal venue rental costs, costumes, etc), we have various youth programmes lined up such as other local competitions and our upcoming youth dance recital. THE SUPPORT WE HAVE SO FAR
We have raised a total of $32,000 from public donations and the National Youth Fund powered by NYC.
MINDEF has granted postponement of one our members' NS enlistment date in order for him to attend the finals in LA.
We have gotten approvals and support from all school principals and parents.
This amount has allowed us to cover our expenses in LA including accomodation, ground transport and competition festival passes. We are immensely grateful for all your help and we hope to receive your continuous support!
